Cultivate School Readiness Through Outdoor Learning
Every day brings hands-on learning across our Unique Corbett and Portland Locations
Melody's Munchkins 2 LLC serves families throughout our unique Corbett and Portland locations, each offering preschool programs rooted in outdoor learning and hands-on discovery. Select Portland locations also offer a separate toddler program for 2-year-olds. Whether your child is exploring their first classroom or preparing for kindergarten, the environment here is built around natural curiosity and steady growth. While our locations differ, we're an experienced, relationship-based, hands-on program deeply committed to your child's growth through outdoor learning.
You'll find structure that makes sense: daily circle time, project-based activities, and nature exploration designed to build confidence and independence. The preschool curriculum aligns with Oregon Kindergarten Readiness Standards to support children as they grow, while our toddler program gives 2-year-olds a gentle, engaging entry into group learning. Children entering the preschool program must be 3 years old on or before September 1.
Melody's Munchkins 2 LLC focuses on creating space where young learners feel known and supported. Each program emphasizes meaningful learning—the kind that happens through real experiences, not just worksheets. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided each day.

What Learning Looks Like Here
Every program is designed around experiences that help children develop skills they'll carry with them. Because each of our four locations offers its own unique environment and layout—from dedicated outdoor play areas to indoor active play spaces—daily experiences look a little different at every site. Whether children are exploring nature outside, engaging in group circle time, or taking on creative projects, every activity is woven into the day to invite participation, curiosity, and problem-solving.
We make sure families understand how each part of the day supports development. From structured routines to open-ended play, the curriculum reflects what research shows works best for early learners. You won't wonder what's happening or why it matters.
Here's what families can count on:
Outdoor learning that allows children to explore early academic and social-emotional skills through hands-on experiences in nature.
Engaging, hands-on, play-based learning experiences developed around the Oregon Kindergarten Readiness Standards

Great daycare facility and great staff.
Shannon M.
I have 2 kids who attended daycare/preschool here. Miss Lana had an amazing bond with my son Jakobi and daughter Sasha. They work with DHS (ERDC), and have a great set up for the kids. Easy sign in and out, they inform parents about the kids and the day they had. The food is nutritious, the schedule the menu and the newsletters are available to parents. Their outside play area is a kids dream back yard. My kids loved their time here and Miss Lana, and everyone else. If you're contemplating childcare, I recommend this place above every other place in the area. They are reliable, trustworthy, compassionate, they work with integrity and high standards of care. 10 stars, cause my babies are my world, and 5 stars isn't enough, for the people who treat our kids with love, respect and kindness. While educating them and teaching them social skills, leading by example. Couldn't Thank y'all enough.

Dependable Care Rooted in Experience
At Melody’s Munchkins 2 LLC, we believe in a simple truth: "small enough to know them, experienced enough to grow them." Our program has built a reputation across Portland and Corbett for providing consistent, relationship-based care and learning. Families choose us because they trust our approach: relationship-based, play-focused, and deeply committed to meeting every child where they are.
Across our four unique locations, early learning is built around real experiences, meaningful play, and outdoor discovery. We don't view the outdoors as a break from learning—it is one of our primary environments where children investigate, problem-solve, and build confidence. You're not just enrolling your child in a program; you're partnering with an experienced team dedicated to supporting the whole child.
If you're ready to explore enrollment, preschool families can begin through the Preschool for All application, and tours are available for preschool programs and select Portland locations for our toddler program.
